Installation of outdoor lighting requires the customer to enter a special contract for a defined period <br />oftime - 12 months for customers at the time of original installation. Subsequent tenants of such <br />premises may assume the remainder of any such contracts in a private arrangement with the <br />immediately preceding contractor, provided a copy of the written agreement is supplied to the Utility <br />Billing Division. If the terms of the original contract have been met the new tenant may obtain the <br />outdoor lighting by signing a contract and paying a $10.00 connection/transfer fee. <br /> <br />Once a customer has fulfilled the initial contractual obligation of 12 months, as the individual <br />circumstances dictate, service may be discontinued at the request of the customer for a period of time <br />and later reconnected for a fee of$IO.00. This option is offered as a service to seasonal type <br />customers but is restricted until the original contract is met. <br /> <br />2. All lamps burn from one-half hour after sunset until one-half hour before sunrise, every night and all <br />night, burning approximately 4,000 hours per year. <br /> <br />3. Credit on a monthly billing will be given to the customer in the event of outages in excess of three <br />working days. <br /> <br />4. The City will provide, as a part of this service, the lamp, photo-electric relay control equipment, <br />luminaire and upsweep arm not over six (6) feet in length. This equipment will be mounted on an <br />existing pole or on a new one to be installed by the City which can be connected to existing <br />secondary circuits by one span of not over 150 feet. <br /> <br />10 <br />
