<br />1; <br /> <br />January 10, 2006 <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Reynolds left the meeting at 1 :30 p.m. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />Council next viewed a power point presentation giving an update on the <br /> <br />issue of reversion to a town with briefing by Wade Bartlett, Finance Director. <br /> <br />After the presentation, Steve Jacobs of Robinson, Farmer, Cox and Carter <br /> <br />Glass, legal counsel for the city, answered questions posed by Council. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Reynolds returned to the meeting at 1 :45 p.m. <br /> <br />After questions from Council, Mayor Cobbe took public comments. Bruce <br /> <br /> <br />Dallas of Massey Street; L. D. Oakes of Mulberry Road and Gloria Hylton of <br /> <br /> <br />Fayette Street expressed their concerns about the city reverting to a town. City <br /> <br /> <br />Manager Collins indicated that the presentation would be available on the city's <br /> <br />website or a printed copy can be provided for any citizen. <br /> <br />The discussion concernmg a gift to the City of a small portion of real <br /> <br />estate adjacent to the proposed trail next to Wade Street along with the <br /> <br />Consent Agenda items will be placed on the next agenda <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session.
