CITY OF MARTINSVILLE CODE CHANGES REQUIRED FOR DECAL ELIMINATION 12-51 amended: NOTE: these fees may be increased to mirror those charged by DMV, shOJt'n ill italics. The annual license fee for vehicles required to be licensed under this article shall be as follows: (1) Automobiles: Twenty Dollars ($20.00), except the cost of a decal for a vehicle purchased after October 1, or whose registered owner did not become a resident of the city until on or after October 1 of the year in question, shall be ten dollars ($10.00) per vehicle. (DMV: less than 4,000 lbs $29.50,4,000 lbs+ $34.50) (2) Trucks of not more than fifteen thousand (15,000) pounds gross weight: Twenty dollars ($20.00). (DMV: pickup trucks 6,501-7,500 lbs $40.50) (3) Trucks of more than fifteen thousand (15,000) pounds gross weight: One dollar ($1.00) per one thousand (1,000) pounds gross weight. (4) Motorcycles: Five dollars ($5.00).
