Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br />Council next heard a presentation from Ruth Easley, Commissioner of <br /> <br />the Revenue, on legislative changes in the Personal Property Tax Relief Act <br /> <br />(PPTRA) effective January 1, 2006. Council must make some choices and <br /> <br />adopt an ordinance reflecting these choices for providing tax relief to the City <br /> <br />taxpayers. After discussion, City Manager Collins indicated that the matter <br /> <br />would be placed on the next agenda for adoption of the Ordinance. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Council received an update from the Martinsville-Henry County <br /> <br />Economic Development Corporation. Will Davis, the interim director, indicated <br /> <br />that jobs are the major focus with marketing and business development, <br />
