Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Reynolds, Roop, Ferrill, Clark. <br /> <br />Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br />· Accept in FY06 budget $2,200 in Federal Confiscated Assets for the <br />Police <br />· Accept in FY06 budget $81 7 in Federal Confiscated Assets for the <br />Police <br />· Accept in FY06 budget $1,221 in State Confiscated Assets for the <br />Police <br />· Accept in FY06 budget $407 in State Confiscated Assets for the <br />Commonwealth Attorney. <br /> <br />City Manager Collins reminded everyone of the September 6th event at <br /> <br />Martinsville Speedway for the rollout of the EDC's new marketing strategy. He <br /> <br />also advised of a one-time grant that is available for cleanup and <br /> <br />redevelopment of sites and that staff is trying to identify potential sites that <br /> <br />might qualify. Mr. Collins mentioned two items that will possibly be discussed <br /> <br />on the next work session-the Visitor's Center and security of the municipal <br /> <br />building. He also indicated that dialogue is ongoing with AEP concerning the <br /> <br />renewal of our contract, which expires July 18t of next year. <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session.
