<br />December 13. 2005 <br /> <br />A regular monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />Virginia, was held on December 13, 2005, in Council Chamber, Municipal <br /> <br />Building, beginning at 1:00 P. M., with Mayor Joe Cobbe presiding. Council <br /> <br />Members present included: Joseph R. Cobbe, Mayor; Kimble Reynolds, Jr., <br /> <br />Vice Mayor; and Council Members James W. Clark, J. Ronald Ferrill, and Terry <br /> <br />L. Roop. Mayor Cobbe opened the meeting, <br /> <br />Following the invocation by Council Member Roop and Pledge to the <br /> <br />American Flag, Mayor Cobbe welcomed everyone to the meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill moved to approve the minutes of the November <br /> <br />22, 2005 meeting as presented; the motion was duly seconded and carried by <br /> <br />the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5-0. Yeas (5) - Cobbe, <br /> <br />Reynolds, Roop, Ferrill, Clark. Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br />The following city employees were recognized for receiving service awards <br /> <br />from October through December: <br /> <br />25 years - David Wallace, Sheriffs Office <br /> <br />20 years - Durwin Joyce, Electric; Stephen Chitwood, Electric; Eddie <br />Cassady, Police; Ricky Walker, Police; Ashby Pritchett, Circuit Court <br /> <br />15 years - Steve Puckett, Water; David Melton, Sheriff's Office <br /> <br />10 years - Mildred Spence, Sheriffs Office; Jerry Ceasar, Water; Donna <br />Harris, Leisure Services; David Ashby, Police; Steve Hairston, Sheriff's <br />Office; Dennis Hairston, Water; Betty Wagoner, Circuit Court; Chris <br />Morris, Public Works <br />
