Data was collected during the 12-month period fi-om January 2004 <br />through December 2004. The attached Tables I, II, and III analyze the combined waste stream of the <br />City and County, the individual waste stream ofthe City, and the individual waste stream of the County <br />respectively. <br /> <br />Table I indicates during the 12-month period in 2004, the landfill received a total of 88,207 tons of <br />waste. The total amount ofwaste received in 2003 was 83,883 tons. (net increase of 4,324 tons during <br />2004) Tonnages fiom the City accounted for 29°,4 of the waste at 25,502 total tons. City tonnage <br />during 2003 accounted for 25% ofthe total waste received at 21,017 tons. (net increase of 4,485 tons <br />during 2004) Tonnages fi-om the County accounted for 71% ofthe waste at 62,705 total tons. County <br />tonnage during 2003 accounted for 75% of the waste received at 62,866 tons. (net decrease of 161 <br />tons during 2004) <br /> <br />The landfill received 31,116 tons fi-om residential sources as compared to 30,793 tons in 2003. <br />Commercial waste constitutes 18,972 tons of the waste stream as compared to 16,021 tons in 2003. <br />Industrial waste constitutes 21,383 tons ofthe waste stream as compared to 23,360 tons during 2003. <br />Sludge from the wastewater treatment plants was 9,873 tons ofthe waste stream as compared to 9,132 <br />tons during 2003. Construction/demolition debris (C/D/D) was 5,464 tons of the waste stream as <br />compared to 3,914 tons during 2003.
