Cost and Capacity of a proposed Regional Jail serving Pittsylvania, Franklin, <br /> Henry, and Patrick Counties and the Cities of Danville and Martinsville <br /> <br />In addition to the inmates incarcerated in the Franklin County Jail, the County, due to <br />the crowding, has "rented" bed space in other jurisdictions for at least the past eight <br />years and the number of inmates incarcerated in other jurisdictions has increased <br />significantly over the past five years.
