July 27, 2004 <br /> <br /> impaired driving, operation of a vehicle or other conduct as set forth <br /> herein. <br /> <br /> Council considered conducting a public hearing and adopting, on first reading, <br />Ordinance 2004-15 on a request by the Planning Commission to amend Appendix B, <br />Zoning Ordinance, of the City Code, by adding Section XXV, Historical Districts. Wayne <br />Knox, Planning, Zoning, & Housing Manager, stated that this ordinance will provide a <br />vehicle to establish and protect areas of historical significance and will not supemede <br />current building code. His office received no public opposition. Mr. Knox provided <br />examples and the advantages and disadvantages of such. Mayor Cobbe declared the <br />Public Hearing open. With no response, he declared the public hearing closed. Council <br />Member Roop moved to adopt Ordinance 2004-15, on first reading; the motion was duly <br />seconded and carried by the following roll call vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - <br />0; Yeas (5) - Clark, Cobbe, Ferrill, Reynolds, Roop; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Council considered establishing a regular meeting schedule. Robed R. Collins, <br />City Manager, proposed the following schedule: <br /> <br /> Council Work Session, second Tuesday of each month, 1:00 P. <br /> M., with no action or votes <br /> Council Meeting, fourth Tuesday of each month, 7:30 P. M., with <br /> official action <br /> Special or Call Meetings, as required, following proper and legal <br /> notice procedures <br /> <br />Staff will develop a "Summary Sheet" for each item placed on the Work Session <br />agenda. Following discussion by Council and Staff, the item will be placed on the <br />Regular Council Meeting agenda for consideration. There will be 30 days between <br />Ordinance readings.
