VII. Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption, on fn-st reading, of <br /> Ordinance No. 2004-8, amending certain sections of Article III, Public Dances <br /> of Chapter 4 of the City Code. (See Enclosure #6) <br /> <br />VIII. Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption, on first reading, of the <br /> following ordinances relating to the City's FY05 budget <br /> <br />A. Ordinance No. 2004-10 amending Appendix A of the City's Terms and <br /> Conditions for Electric Service. (See Enclosure #7-a) <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 2004-11 amending Appendix A --Schedule of Water and <br />Sewer Service Rates of the City's Terms and Conditions for Water and <br />Sewer Service. (See Enclosure #7-b) <br /> <br />C. Ordinance No. 2004-12 mending Chapter 18---Solid Waste, Sec. 18-24 <br /> Fee Schedule of the City Code. (See Enclosure #7-c) <br /> <br />D. Ordinance No. 2004-13 establishing the City's Budget and Tax Rates for <br /> Fiscal Year 2005. (See Enclosure #7-d) <br /> <br />IX. Conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving/interviewing citizens <br /> interested in appointment to one position on the City's School Board. <br /> <br />COMMENTS.'. As Council is aware, Lynn Ward's term ends June 30, 2004. <br />Mrs. Ward is eligible for reappointment and she has indicated she is not <br />interested in reappointment. At the time of preparing this Agenda, no <br />Forms/Resumes had been received, but the deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, <br />the 24th. We will prepare an Addendum and have at your place for Tuesday's <br />meeting. Should Council desire, it can convene in Closed Session, under <br />Subsection 1 of the FOI Act, for the purpose of interviewing the applicants. <br />According to State Law, only those citizens interviewed by Council or whose <br />name was brought up during the Public Hearing can be considered for <br />appointment, and appointments cannot be made until seven days after the <br />Public Hearing, thus this item will be on Council's June 8th Agenda. <br /> <br />X. Business from the Floor <br /> <br />This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the opportunity to <br />discuss matters, which are not listed on the printed agenda. In that the <br />Council meetings are broadcast on Martinsville Government Television, <br />the City Council is responsible for the content of the programming. <br />Thus, any person wishing to bring a matter to Co~ncil's attention under <br />this Section of the agenda should: (1) come to the podium and state their <br />name and address; (2) state the matter that they wish to discuss and <br />what action they would like for Council to take; (3) limit their remarks to <br />five minutes; and (4) refrain from making ~y personal references or <br />accusations of a factually false and/or malicious nature. <br /> <br /> <br />
