T. Dallas <br /> <br />Hedge to the American flag <br /> <br />I. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of April 20 and <br /> 27, 2004. (See Enclosures # 1-a and # l-b) <br /> <br />II. Presentation by the Eighth Grade Scholars Class at Martinsville Middle <br /> School. <br /> <br />COMMENTS: This Class has worked on a unit called "Project Citizen", which <br />involves community problem-solving. One group wants a skate park in <br />Martinsville. A second group will be asking for a semi-pro baseball team for <br />our area. Ms. Anne Stultz is their teacher. <br /> <br />III. Review financial report for month ending 4/30/04. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />iV. Consider authorizing the execution of two letters relative to the development <br /> of Village at Barrows Mill I and II on the Barrows Mill Road by the John H. <br /> Wellons Foundation, Inc. <br /> <br />A. Letter of support to John H. Wellons Foundation to be included in their <br /> HUD 202 application to be executed by the Mayor (See Enclosure #3-a) <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />Letter to Painter & Associates approving construction of a 6" water line <br />extension to proposed development to be executed by Interim City <br />Manager (See Enclosure #3-b) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Ms. Wendy Painter, of Painter & Associates, will be at your <br />meeting to review this project and answer any questions that you may have. <br /> <br />V. Consider adoption of a Resolution designating a portion of Commonwealth <br /> Bouleirard directly in front of the Armory as being in honor of the <br /> Martinsville/Henry County soldiers of Company H, 116th Infantry Regiment <br /> 29th Infantry Division. (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />VI. Consider adoption, on second reading, of Ordinance 2004-9 establishing the <br /> compensation for the new City Manager. (See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br /> <br />
