The City Manager shall receive $500.00 per month as an automobile alloxvance. City <br />shall also budget for and to pay for travel and subsistence expenses of City Manager for <br />short courses, institutes, and seminars that are necessary for his professional development <br />and for the good of the City, as determined by City Council. <br /> <br /> C. Vacatiom Sick Leave and Retirement: The City shall provide to the <br />City Manager a beginning balance of 90 days of sick leave and 20 days of vacation. <br />Accrual of sick and vacation leave is based upon the equivalent of twenty-six (26) years <br />government service. An employment date of April 1, 1978, shall be used to determine <br />aggregate service level for all employee benefits. City Manager's benefits from and the <br />City's contributions to the Virginia State Retirement System shall be determined by the <br />City of Martinsville's retirement plan. <br /> <br />D. Residenc¥~ Movin~ and Relocation Expenses: <br /> i. City Manager shall establish residence within the corporate <br /> boundaries of the City immediately upon employment and <br /> shall thereaPter maintain residence within the corporate <br /> boundaries of the City of Martinsville during the term of <br /> his employment. <br /> ii. City shall pay directly for the documented expenses of <br /> moving City Manager, his immediate family and personal <br /> property from Moberly, Missouri to Martinsville, Virginia. <br /> Said moving expenses shall include packing, moving, <br /> storage costs, unpacking, and insurance charges. City shall <br /> reimburse City Manager for documented actual lodging and <br /> meal expenses for his family en route from Moberly, <br /> Missouri to Martinsville, Virginia, together with mileage <br /> costs for moving two personal automobiles at the current <br /> IRS allowable rate of $0.36 per mile. City Manager shall <br /> be reimbursed, or City may pay directly, for the <br /> documented expenses of packing and moving from <br /> temporary housing to permanent housing during the first <br /> year of this Agreement. City shall pay the City Manager's <br /> tax liability on all Employers provided benefits for <br /> relocation and housing. <br /> iii. City shall reimburse City Manager for a total of four (4) <br /> individual round trip airfares from airports serving the <br /> Moberly, Missouri and Martinsville, Virginia regions for <br /> City Manager and his immediate family at any time during <br /> the first year of his employment to assist with house <br /> hunting and other facets of the transition and relocation <br /> process. City Manager and his immediate family may <br /> utilize and distribute the four (4) individual round trip <br /> tickets in any combination of individual members making <br /> the trips. City Manager shall be reimbursed for <br /> documented actual lodging and meal expenses incurred by <br /> <br /> <br />
