Martin, ville <br /> <br />Excellence <br />Awa rd <br /> <br />December 9, 2003 <br /> <br /> We are pleased to announce the 4th quarter 2003 Service Excellence Award nominees. <br /> <br />The Service Excellence Award program was developed by the City's Customer Service Committee to <br />provide an incentive to recognize employees for excellent service. To date, 88 employees are among <br />those in this elite group of nominees. <br /> <br /> Each nominee sets a true example of what a public servant should be. Being nominated by <br />peers is a great honor and each one is to be commended for their individual efforts to create a <br />positive, productive working atmosphere. <br /> <br /> Each City employee has the opportunity of making a nomination for this award by submitting a <br />written, signed statement as to why the award should go to the nominee with examples of instances <br />where nominee exhibited "going the extra mile". <br /> <br /> Members of the Customer Service Committee (who are exempt from the award) scored each <br />nomination on a point system. Serving on the Customer Service Committee are Brenda Prillaman <br />(Customer Service), Andrea Ward (Purchasing), Clarence Monday (Fire), Cindera Martin (Police), <br />Wayne Knox (Community Development), Sharon Echols (Utility Billing), Chds Morris (Public Works), <br />Jerry Caesar (Water Resources), and Mike Wilson (Electric). This award is not a popularity contest, <br />it is solely about the employee who goes the extra mile and provides exceptional service in their job <br />as a public servant.
