Purchase Price: $17,000, used
Current Replacement Cost: $240,000 (Pumper)

Condition: Fair

Departmental Function: water supply wagon and response to vehicle fires, brush fires, and
other miscellaneous minor responses.

History: Engine 114 was purchased with the intentions of placing it in reserve after the
department's reserve fire engine experienced a blown engine. However, upon its arrival,
departmental personnel learned that the truck was in better condition than imagined.
Therefore, Engine 110 was moved from water supply role to reserve. Engine 114 was placed
on the front line at Station 1, where it remains today.

Current Problems: The age of this truck is of utmost concern although there are no known
mechanical problems. The truck's most obvious threat is body rust. Prior to purchasing the
truck, major rust pockets were visible and were covered prior to the department's acquisition.
Also, the truck was manufactured in an era that was notorious for limited compartment space.
The truck's compartments are full, and we are forced to carry minimal equipment.
Ladder 1

Model: Grumman 102' Aerial Platform, Duplex chassis
Manufactured Date: 1987
Pump: Waterous 1,500 gpm, two stage
Tank: 200 gal
Generator: Onan
Mileage: 8,933
Hours: 1,891

10
