April 8, 2003 <br /> <br /> Council received a staff briefing on additional amendments to the City's zoning <br />ordinance. George Hayfield, Associate Planner, highlighted the proposed amendments <br />and stated that they are mainly administrative in nature. Vice Mayor Roop moved to set <br />a public hearing for April 22, 2003, on the proposed amendments; the motion was duly <br />seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas <br /> <br />(5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> Council Member Ferrill moved to adopt the following Consent Agenda item; the <br />motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: <br />Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Cobbe, Dallas, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br /> A. Accept and appropriate in the General Fund for the FY03 Budget <br /> the following: <br /> 1. $550 in Revenue into 01100908 480420 - Donations/Senior <br /> Center and $540 in Revenue into 01100909 490801 - <br /> Recovered Costs/Senior Center for Expenditure in 01714212 <br /> 506016 - Senior Center/Program Supplies <br /> 2. $32, 521 in Revenue into 01101917 442702 - Categorical <br /> Other State/Homeland Security Grant for Expenditure in <br /> 01321102 506101 - Fire Department/Homeland Security <br /> <br /> Council briefly discussed the Adelphia franchise agreement in response to the <br />recent channel lineup changes. The City, the County of Henry, and Adelphia are in the <br />fifth year of a 15-year contract, which can be renegotiated after five years. <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the ~ (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br />by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br /> A.
