167 <br />March 25,2003 <br /> <br />Accept and appropriate into the General Fund for the FY03 Budget <br />the following: <br />1. $1,000 in Revenue into 01100908 480410 - Donations/Fire <br /> Department for Expenditure in 01322105 506004 - <br /> EMS/Medical Supplies <br /> <br />Council Member Ferrill presented the "$5 Million Community" award from the <br /> <br />Virginia Mainstreet Organization, which he received on behalf of the City on March 19, <br /> <br />2003. The Martinsville Uptown Revitalization Association received an award, also. <br /> <br />Mayor Teague announced the death of Ronnie Minter, former Commissioner of the <br /> <br />Revenue. <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br /> <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virqinia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br /> <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br /> <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br />Ao <br /> <br />A prospective business or industry or expansion of an existing <br />business or industry where no previous announcement has been <br />made of the business' or industry's interest in locating or expanding <br />its facilities in the community, as authorized by Subsection 5. <br />Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1. <br />1. Clean Community Board~ <br />2. Transportation Safety Commission <br />A personnel matter under the jurisdiction of the City Council, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1. <br /> <br />Council recessed and convened as the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing <br /> <br />Authority at 8:14 P. M. <br /> <br />The Authority considered setting a public hearing for April 8, 2003, to approve <br /> <br />amendments to the Administrative Plan of the Section 8 Housing Choice Program. <br /> <br />Authority Member Dallas moved to set such public hearing; the motion was duly <br /> <br /> <br />
