June 25,2002 <br /> <br />administration, staff, the City Attorney, and the Clerk of Council for their working <br />relationships. <br /> <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matter: <br /> <br /> A. Consultation with legal counsel regarding a specific legal matter <br /> requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 7. <br /> B. Personnel matters under the jurisdiction of the City Council, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 1. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br /> (1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br /> discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br /> motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br /> Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took the following action: <br /> <br /> A. 2. Vice Mayor Teague moved to adopt, on first reading, of <br /> Ordinance 2002-9, imposing upon individuals who have delinquent <br /> taxes or other delinquent charges, fees to cover the administrative <br /> costs and reasonable attorney's or collection agency's fees; the <br /> motion was duly seconded and carried by the following roll call <br /> vote, with all members present voting: Vote 4 - 0; Yeas (4) - <br /> Crabtree, Dallas, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their regular <br /> meeting, upon motion by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br /> Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 9:07 P.
