West Piedmont Planning District Technical Advisory <br /> Committee <br /> <br />Council recessed and convened as the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority at 8:16 P. M. <br /> <br /> The Authority considered adoption of a Resolution relating to signature <br />authorizations on a checking account at Patrick Henry National Bank. Wayne D. P. <br />Knox, Planning, Zoning, & Housing Manager, stated that this is in regards to HUD <br />Direct. Vice Chairman Teague moved to adopt the Resolution as prepared; the motion <br />was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - <br />0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. City Manager <br />Reynolds stated that this account would be audited with all of the other City accounts. <br /> <br /> The Authority considered adoption of a Resolution concerning the administrative <br />plan under the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program. Vice Chairman Teague moved to <br />adopt the following Resolution; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the <br />following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, <br />Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Martinsville Redevelopment & Housing Authority <br /> (MRHA) administers a Section 8 Rental Assistance Program <br /> serving Martinsville and Henry County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the MRHA currently operates under Virginia Housing <br /> Development Authority's (VHDA) "Administrative Plan" and the <br /> MRHA "Local Addendum", adopted July 1,2001; and <br /> WHEREAS, the MRHA has submitted to the United States <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development, (HUD), an <br /> administrative plan to replace the current VHDA plan as part of an <br /> <br /> <br />
