December 11,2001 <br /> <br />Council Member Dallas requested that Council be kept abreast of any <br /> <br />developments in the potential sale of Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County. <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br /> <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br /> <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br /> <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matter: <br /> <br />Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as <br /> <br />authorized by Subsection 1. <br />1. Anchor Group Home Commission <br />2. <br />3. <br /> <br />Board of Zoning Appeals <br />Comprehensive Services Act Community Policy and <br />Management Team <br />Transportation Safety Commission <br />West Piedmont Planning District Technical Advisory <br />Committee <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br /> <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br /> <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br /> <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br /> <br />Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took the following action: <br /> <br />Ao <br /> <br />3. Council Member Roop moved to appoint Robin F. Whitlow, <br />of 1722 Meadowview Lane, to a two-year parent representative <br />term on the Comprehensive Services Act Community Policy and <br />Management Team, ending December 31, 2003; the motion was <br />duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members <br />voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, <br />Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council during their regular <br /> <br />meeting, upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br /> <br />Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 10:10 P. M. <br /> <br /> <br />
