J 89 TUESDAY, November 2'7, 2001 Council moved upon motion duly seconded, with all members voting: Vote 5-0; Yeas (5)- Crabtree, Teague, Dallas, Ferrill, and Roop; Nays (0)- None, to accept and appropriate the Consent Agenda items and to set the Public Hearing. In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session for the purpose of discussing the following matters: ? A. Appointments/Re-appointments to various Boards/Commissions, as authorized by Subsection 1. 1. Anchor Group Home Commission (One four-year term ending 12/31/2005) 2. Board of Zoning Appeals (One unexpired term ending 9/11/2003) 3. Comprehensive Services Act Community Policy and Management Team (One two-year term ending 12/31/2003) 4. Transportation Safety Commission (One unexpired term ending 12/31/2002 and five four-year terms all ending on 12/31/2005) 5. West Piedmont Planning District Technical Advisory Committee (One three-year term ending 12/31/2004) At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those--- business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. Following their return to open meeting, Council did not take any action on matters 1, 2, 3, and 5. On item number 4, Transportation Safety Commission, one unexpired term ending 12/31/2002 and five four-year terms all ending on 12/31/2005, Council took the following action: · Re-appointed William R. Hopkins, 1805 Mulberry Road; Lorene Martin, 921 Myrtle Road; Mitzi Prillaman Dailey, 718 Beechnut Lane; and Robert Breckenridge, 1202 South Askin Street to four- year terms ending 12/31/2005.
