November 13, 2001 <br /> <br /> A <br /> <br />Virginia, was held on November 13, 2001, in Council Chamber of the <br /> <br />Building, beginning at 7:30 <br />Members present included: <br /> <br />regular, semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Municipal <br /> <br /> P. M., with Mayor Mark Crabtree presiding. Council <br /> <br /> Mark A. Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene Teague, Vice Mayor; <br /> <br />and Council Members Bruce H. T. Dallas, J. Ronald Ferrill, and Terry L. Roop. <br /> <br /> Following the invocation by Council Member Roop, Mayor Crabtree welcomed <br />everyone to the meeting. <br /> <br /> Council Member Ferrill moved to adopt the Minutes of October 23, 2001, and <br />November 1, 2001, as presented; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the <br />following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, <br />Roop, Teague; Nays (0)- None. <br /> <br /> Council considered business from the floor; there was none. <br /> <br /> Council considered special recognition by the Fire Department of City employees <br /> <br />and volunteers who have completed specialized training. <br />Fire Chief, recognized the following for successfully <br /> <br />Clarence Monday, Assistant <br />completing national registry <br /> <br />paramedic training: Ted Anderson, City EMS Coordinator; Bob Phillips, City Safety <br />Officer; John Potter, City Sheriff's Deputy; and Tommy Cook, volunteer with the <br />Martinsville-Henry County Rescue Squad. Mr. Monday, also, recognized Bradley Beam <br />for completing extensive training regarding his duties as Assistant Fire Marshal. Mayor <br />Crabtree stated, "It's a tremendous honor to recognize these individuals." <br /> <br /> Council considered adoption of a Resolution amending, the Rules and <br /> Regulations Governing the Use of Beaver Creek Reservoir and Adjacent Areas <br /> for Recreational Purposes. Council Member Dallas voiced concern over battery <br /> <br /> <br />
