Enclosure #1-a 177 November 13, 2001 A regular, semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, was held on November 13, 2001, in Council Chamber of the Municipal Council Building, beginning at 7:30 Members present included: P. M., with Mayor Mark Crabtree presiding. Mark A. Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene Teague, Vice Mayor; and Council Members Bruce H. T. Dallas, J. Ronald Ferrill, and Terry L. Roop. Following the invocation by Council Member Roop, Mayor Crabtree welcomed everyone to the meeting. Council Member Ferrill moved to adopt the Minutes of October 23, 2001, and November 1, 2001, as presented; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. Council considered business from the floor; there was none. Council considered special recognition by the Fire Department of City employees and volunteers who have completed specialized training. Fire Chief, recognized the following for successfully Clarence Monday, Assistant completing national registry paramedic training: Ted Anderson, City EMS Coordinator; Bob Phillips, City Safety Officer; John Potter, City Sheriff's Deputy; and Tommy Cook, volunteer with the Martinsville-Henry County Rescue Squad. Mr. Monday, als~o, recognized Bradley Beam for completing extensive training regarding his duties as Assistant Fire Marshal. Mayor Crabtree stated, "It's a tremendous honor to recognize these individuals." Council considered adoption of a Resolution amending the Rules and Regulations Governing the Use of Beaver Creek Reservoir and Adjacent Areas for Recreational Purposes.
