TUESDAY, September 25, 2001 ~ ! 53 <br /> <br />Council moved upon motion duly seconded, with all members voting: Vote 5-0; Yeas (5)- Crabtree, Teague, <br /> <br />Dallas, Ferrill, and Roop; Nays (0)- None, to accept and appropriate/reappropriate the Consent Agenda items. <br /> <br />In other matters, Council Member Dallas stated that he believes there should be a culvert to divert mn-off <br />water from the parking lot of the new Ridge View Apartments. Council Member Dallas also stated that he <br />wants Staff to consider possible heating assistance for City residents that cannot afford heat this winter. Staff <br />was directed to maintain contact with Social Service Director Joyce Martin regarding this matter. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended) and upon <br />motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session for the <br /> <br />purpose of consultation with legal counsel pertaining to possible litigation, as authorized by Subsection 7. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that (1) only public business <br />matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said executive session; and (2) only those <br />business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered <br />during said Session. Following their return to open meeting, Council did not take any action. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council, upon motion duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br />Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Clarence C.
