City Manager Reynolds stated that this is a <br />requirement to receive $25,824 and supplemented by a local match of $2,869 from <br />forfeited asset funds. Mayor Crabtree declared the Public Hearing open. Chief Rogers <br />elaborated on the items to be purchased, including trauma plates, battery backups for <br />the radio system, personal computers, and less lethal munitions. Mayor Crabtree <br />declared the Public Hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Council considered conducting a Public Hearing and approving, on first reading, <br /> of Ordinance No. 2001-6 amending Section VIII - Special Use Procedure, Subsections <br /> H - R-16 Residential, I - R-9 Residential, and J - R-6 Residential and Section X - <br /> District Regulations/Residential of Appendix B - Zoning Ordinance of the City Code. <br /> Wayne D. P. Knox, Planning, Zoning, & Housing Manager, stated that the proposed <br /> amendments make the ordinance more user-friendly, moved things for clarity, updated <br /> items, and added illustrations. City Manager Reynolds stated that at the work session, <br /> by general consensus with no vote taken, Council agreed to (1) either abolish allowing <br /> manufactured homes or allow a mobile home park with stringent restrictions and (2) <br /> leave the maximum number of dwelling units per structure at eight but add quali,fying <br /> words to allow opportunity.
