Chief Rogers elaborated on the items to be purchased, including trauma plates, battery backups for the radio system, personal computers, and less lethal munitions. Council considered conducting a Public Hearing and approving, on first reading, of Ordinance No. 2001-6 amending Section VIII - Special Use Procedure, Subsections H - R-16 Residential, I - R-9 Residential, and J - R-6 Residential and Section X - District Regulations/Residential of Appendix B - Zoning Ordinance of the City Code. Wayne D. P. Knox, Planning, Zoning, & Housing Manager, stated that the proposed amendments make the ordinance more user-friendly, moved things for clarity, updated items, and added illustrations. City Manager Reynolds stated that at the work session, by general consensus with no vote taken, Council agreed to (1) either abolish allowing manufactured homes or allow a mobile home park with stringent restrictions and (2) leave the maximum number of dwelling units per structure at eight but add quali,fying words to allow opportunity.
