August 28, 2001 <br /> <br /> A regular, semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> Virginia, was held on August 28, 2001, with Mayor Mark Crabtree presiding. Council <br /> Members present included: Mark A. Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene Teague, Vice Mayor; <br /> and Council Members Bruce H. T. Dallas, J. Ronald Ferrill, and Terry L. Roop. <br /> <br /> Mayor Crabtree called the meeting with the Board of Supervisors to order at 6:30 <br />P. M., in the Fourth Floor Conference Room of the Henry County Administration <br />Building. Council considered authorizing the Mayor to execute a Revenue Sharing <br />Agreement between the City of Martinsville, the County of Henry, and the Henry County <br />Industrial Development Authority for Patriot Centre and Use of State Grant Funds. <br />Council Member Ferrill moved for the authorization; the motion was duly seconded and <br />carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, <br />Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. Council expressed appreciation to City <br /> <br />and County Administration for their work on this agreement. <br /> The'meeting recessed at 6:50 P. M. <br /> <br /> The meeting reconvened at 7:34 P. M., in Council Chamber of the Municipal <br />Building. Following the invocation by Council Member Roop, Mayor Crabtree welcomed <br />everyone to the meeting. <br /> <br /> Council Member Ferrill moved to adopt the Minutes of July 5-6, 2001, as <br />presented; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all <br />members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays <br />(0) - None. <br /> <br /> Michael Rogers, Chief of Police, Earl B. ~/J¢'i, City Manager, and Council <br />presented a framed State flag print to Robed P.
