'98 <br /> <br />June 26,2001 <br /> <br /> A regular, semi-monthly meeting and quarterly town meeting of the Council of the <br />City of Martinsville, Virginia, were held on June 26, 2001, at Clearview Elementary <br />School, beginning at 7:32 P. M., with Mayor Mark Crabtree presiding. Council Members <br />present included: Mark A. Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene Teague, Vice Mayor; and Council <br />Members Bruce H. T. Dallas and Terry L Roop. Council Member J. Ronald Ferrill was <br />out of the City. <br /> <br />Following the invocation, Mayor Crabtree welcomed everyone to the meeting. <br />Council Member Roop moved to approve the Minutes of the June 11, 2001, and <br />June 18, 2001, meetings as presented, and the June 12, 2001, meeting as amended; <br />'the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members <br />present voting: Vote 4 - 0; Yeas (4) - Crabtree, Dallas, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Mayor Crabtree recognized the following City employees receiving Service <br /> <br />Awards from April 1, 2001, to June 30, 2001: <br /> <br />40 Years - Thomas Robert Oakley, Public Works <br />25 Years - Ethel W. Johnson, Sheriff's Office; Samuel Drewry <br />Pickurel, Leisure Services <br />20 Years - Robert Edward Hopkins, Fire Department <br />15 Years - Timothy Blaine Jones, Police Department; Robert <br />Anthony Turner, Police Department; Roger Wayne Blankenship, <br />Public Works; David Wayne Robertson, Fire Department <br />10 Years - Anthony Preston Beal, Fire Department; Thomas N. <br />White, Public Works <br />5 Years - Charles D.
