Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments <br /> / <br /> <br />Gene/'al ?urpose qf Changes: To make the ordinance more user friendly to the public <br />bY'lacing all uses allowed by right and all uses allowed by special use permit along <br />side each other in their respective zoning districts. Outdated terms were removed and <br />replaced by current planning terminology and also any redundancy or ambiguity was <br />resolved. <br /> <br />Section X District Regulations- R-6~, R-9, R-16 districts <br /> <br />R-6 District <br /> Uses Allowed by Right: <br /> · Kindergartens and day nurseries, uses allowed by right, are removed and <br /> now.fall under home chiM care. <br /> · The term motel replaces the term tourist court <br /> · The term marmfactured home replaces the term trailer <br /> · Family L~£e Center added as use allowed <br /> · Accreditedprivate school replaces the phrase "private school with curricula <br /> approximately the same as offered in public schools". <br /> · Boarding Houses and Rooming Houses removed as it was stated twice <br /> as a use allowed by right <br /> <br /> Permitted Uses by Special Use Permit: <br />· Uses allowed by special use permit in the R-6 district have been removed <br /> from Section VIII and moved to Section X. Now all uses allowed in the R-6 <br /> district are in this one section of the ordinance. <br />· Under townhouse developments there was a maximum number of eight <br /> dwelling units allowed per structure. This maximum was removed due to it <br /> being a constraint on housing development design. <br />· Neighborhood Communi_t}, Centers was added as a use allowed by special <br /> permit <br />· Convalescent and Nursing Homes were added as uses allowed by special <br /> use permit <br /> <br />Illustrations: <br />Illustrations are added to improve understanding and clarity <br /> <br /> <br />
