June 4,2001 <br /> <br />Services budget was increased by $1,000 from the Pittsylvania Community Action <br />Agency budget, but they did not need it after all. The motion was carried by the <br />following vote: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) <br /> <br />- None. <br /> i Councii Member Dallas' . moved to decrease the Leisure Services budget by <br />$40,000; the motion died for a lack of a second. <br /> ,. Council discussed the structure of the Fire Department and standards of the <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Page Brockenbrough, of 907 <br /> Clarke Road, spoke in favor of adding firefighters. <br /> Council scheduled a meeting for June 11,2001, to discuss the following: Parking <br /> lots and leases, Leisure Services, use of Hooker Field, and employee issues, including <br /> new position, upgrades, and firefighters. <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their budget work <br /> session meeting, upon motion by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, by <br /> unanimous vote, Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 9:34 P.
