April 24, 2001 <br /> <br />to the School Fund to reimburse the City Schools for utilities <br />and minor renovation work at the former Tultex Corporate <br />Office Building, as follows: <br />1. GENERAL FUND: Revenue 01931244-509280- <br /> Transfer to Schools Revenue 01103938-462101 - <br /> Contribution from Fund Balance <br />2. SCHOOL FUND: Revenue 18103937-451590 <br /> <br />Transfer from General Fund Expenditure 85001023- <br />565110 - Electrical Services/Division-wide Building, <br />Services <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br /> <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br /> <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br /> <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br />Appointment/Reappointment to the Clean Community Commission <br />of M-HC, as authorized by Subsection 1. <br />Appointment to the Martinsville Industrial Development Authority, <br />as authorized by Subsection 1. <br />Possible disposition of publicly-owned real property, as authorized <br />by Subsection 3. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br /> <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br /> <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br /> <br />Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took the following action: <br /> <br />Council Member Dallas moved to appoint Sharon S. Hairston, of <br />1201 Mountain Road, to a two-year term on the Clean Community <br />Commission Board, expiring February 28, 2003; the motion was <br />duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members <br />present voting: Vote 4 - 0; Yeas (4) - Crabtree, Dallas, Reop, <br />Teague; Nays (0) - None. i <br />No action. <br />No action. <br /> <br /> <br />
