(See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: As you will note, Assistant Commonwealth's <br />Attorney Andy Johnson requested that this section of the City <br />Code be reviewed for clarification. City Attorney Dave Worthy has <br />reviewed and prepared this Ordinance, which we recommend that <br />Council adopt on an emergency basis. Mr. Johnson will attend <br />your meeting to answer any questions Council may have. <br /> <br />VII. STAFF REPORT: <br /> <br />A. Financial report for month ending 4/30/2001. <br /> (See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br />VIII. CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> <br />Accept and appropriate $113.10 from Commonwealth of <br />Virginia into Revenue 01101917-442401--State Forfeited <br />Assets for Expenditure 01311085-506078--State Forfeited <br />Assets in the Police Department's budget in the General Fund <br />for FY2000-2001. <br /> <br />Set a Public Hearing for June 12, 2001, to receive applicants <br />for one three-year appointment beginning July 1, 2001, to the <br />City's School Board. <br /> <br />COMMENTS: The State Code requires that a Public Hearing be <br />advertised and conducted to receive names of citizens inter- <br />ested in serving on the School Board and only those names <br />mentioned at the Public Hearing can be considered for appoint- <br />ment. Ms. Beth Sibbick's current term will expire June 30, <br />2001, and she is eligible for reappointment. <br /> <br />C. Set a Public Hearing for June 12, 2001, on the City's Budget <br /> for Fiscal Year 2001-2002 and establishing tax rates for same. <br /> <br />IX. Comments by City Council Members. <br /> <br />X.
