Thomas Planning Grant. <br />Accept and appropriate the following in the School Fund for <br />FY 2000-2001 Budget: <br />1. $2,769 E-Rate Grant - Revenue 18103908-418286 - <br />E-Rate Reimbursement for Expenditure 85001014- <br />568209 - Exec. Adm. (E-Rate ADP Equipment) <br />2, $2,000 SIlver Grant - Revenue 18101917-418248 - <br /> State/Special Education for Expenditure 72001002- <br /> 563193- High School Special Ed/Honorariums & <br /> Fees <br />3. $16,111 Individual Student Alternative Education <br /> Program Grant (Student GED)- Revenue 18101918- <br /> 418279 - State/ISAEP Grant - for $7,000 <br /> Expenditure 71001001-561121 - H. S. Salaries, and <br /> $9,111 Expenditure 71001001-566044 - H. <br /> S./Supplies <br />4. $1,599 Year-Round School Grant - Revenue <br /> 18101918-418269 - State/Year-Round School for <br /> Expenditure 22001010-566010 - Clearview School <br /> Grant Matedals/YRS <br />5. $25,000 Pdvate Donation - Revenue 18103908- <br /> 418287 - International Baccalaureate Donation for <br /> Expenditure 71001001-563830 - International <br /> Baccalaureate/High School. <br /> <br />Council discussed recent publicity regarding relations with the School Board and <br /> <br />its budget. Coundl Member Ferrill stated, "! don't like what I'm reading; ifs adversafial <br /> <br />to Council. I want to support the school system, but we have financial duties to the <br /> <br />entire City. Now's not the time for bickering or shift of blame." Vice Mayor Teague <br /> <br />stated, "We've demonstrated in the past our support of the school system." Mayor <br /> <br />Crabtree stated, "The School Board and Administration have been prudent and good <br /> <br />stewards. We should fund the needs of the children, not the fund balance." Council <br /> <br />Member Roop stated, "There's a lot of concerns around personnel. it may not be <br /> <br />realistic to compete statewide." Coundl Member Dallas stated, "We don't need to send <br /> <br />a 'business as usual' message." <br /> <br /> <br />
