City of Martinsville <br />Customer Concerns in Museum Area <br />Neighborhood Town Meeting March 27, 2001 <br /> <br />Property Maintenance <br />Public Works <br />6% <br /> <br />Public Works Water <br />20% ' "1% <br /> <br />Legal Issues Property <br />Maintenance <br />2% <br /> <br />Zoning <br />3% <br /> <br />Electric <br />2% <br /> <br />Inspections <br />57% <br /> <br />As evidenced by the departments involved, the main neighborhood concems are unsightly <br />properties, dilapidated houses and inoperative vehicles. <br /> <br />The status of citizens' concerns is monitored regularly. To date, all concerns in the Museum <br />area have been resolved or measures are underway to resolve the situation. Citizens making <br />complaints have been notified of status either by phone or letter. <br /> <br />This graph includes 258 actual complaints recorded for this area for the 12 month period <br />between March, 2000 and March, 2001. Of the 258 complaints recorded, 193 have been <br />resolved and 65 are presently pending with measures being taken to correct situation. Duplicate <br />complaints on the same address are noted on attached report. <br /> <br />Included in this report are all complaints referred directly to Customer Service and it does not <br />include routine calls for service.
