Mayor Crabtree stated, "The schools should put forward their <br />recommendations for cost containment and revenue enhancement." <br /> <br /> Chairman Davies stated, "We need to know when we leave here today how <br />much money we can expect next year." Earl B. Reynolds, Jr., City Manager, replied, <br />"The preliminary revenue projections will be out in February. We all guess with <br />estimates until the General Assembly votes and the Governor signs." Dr. Trollinger <br />stated, "If you can guarantee $7.9 million, we can guarantee not many negatives." <br />Mayor Crabtree stated, "Staff and personnel pay is the number one priority." <br /> <br /> Capital needs discussed included air conditioning at Patrick Henry Elementary <br />School, improvement of physical education facilities at Martinsville High School, some <br />type of improvement to the K-2 program, and enhancing vocational education. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their work <br />session, upon motion by Council Member Roop, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br />Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 3:55 P.
