October 30, 2000 <br /> <br /> a common telephone area code between the Martinsville and <br /> Roanoke areas, and if possible with the Danville area. <br /> <br /> Council sent concerns to Transportation Safety Commission regarding cellular <br />telephone usage and Memorial Boulevard/Koehler traffic. <br /> <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Viminia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br /> A. Possible disposition of public property, as authorized by Subsection <br /> 3. <br /> B. Possible acquisition of property for public use, as authorized by <br /> Subsection 3. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br /> (1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br /> discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br /> motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br /> Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took no action. <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their regular <br /> meeting, upon motion by Vice Mayor Teague, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br /> Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 10:39 P.
