8. Signs - C1-A Intermediate Commercial District <br /> <br />The following signs are permitted in the C-1A District: <br /> 1. Any sign permitted in the R-16, R-9, R-6, P-I, and P-2 Districts. <br /> <br />Any accessory sign or signs; including signs on marquees and awnings <br />as defined in Section H provided, that the total sign area for each <br />premises, including multi-occupancy buildings, shall be the equivalent <br />to three (3) square feet, or less, for each lineal foot of building frontage <br />occupied <br /> <br />For each service station or public parking lot, one (1) accessory <br />ground sign of maximum area of fifty (50) square. feet in addition to <br />other permissible signs. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Permitted signs in Section XII, Paragraph G. 2. and Section XII, <br />Paragraph G. 3. may extend into the required setback area, but in no <br />case shall it extend into the right-of-way; however, in no case nearer <br />than two (2)feet to the face of the curb adjacent to the traveled way. A <br />ground sign shall not exceed an overall height of twenty-five (25) feet <br />above the street or lot, whichever is higher in elevation and a roof sign <br />shall not exceed an overall height of twenty-five (25)feet above the <br />roof at point of attachment of the sign base. <br /> <br />Signs - C -2 Central Business District. <br /> a. Signs Permitted-- C-2 Central Business District <br /> <br />One (1) non-illuminated accessory sign for each premises, which <br />sign may either be waIL projecang or roof mounted. Provided that <br />any projecting sign not exceed twelve (12) square feet in size, and <br />which no part of the sign shall be closer than eight (8) feet above <br />any sidewalk or pedestrian way, and may project beyond the face of <br />the building no more than six (6)feet, but no closer than one (1)foot <br />from inside the curb. In addition to the foregoing, each premises <br />may have one (I) additional wall sign not to exceed twenty (20) <br />square pet in size which may have illumination consisting of neon as <br />part of the sign proper or to which illumination is directed by the <br />use of shaded electric~ lights, tubes or flood lamp bulbs, but not be <br />construed to allow illumination from within the sign as part of the <br />sign proper.
