Crabtree, D.D.S. <br /> <br />Consider, in Closed Session, in accordance with the Code of Virgi- <br />nia, Chapter 21--Freedom of Information Act, Section 2.1-344(A)-- <br />Executive or Closed Meetings, consultation with legal counsel <br />pertaining to actual litigation, as authorized by Subsection 7. <br /> <br />Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of May <br />18, 22, 23, and 25, 2000. <br />(See Enclosure #l-a, #l-b, #1-c and #l-d) <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />Business from the floor. <br /> <br />Conduct a Public Hearing and consider approval, on first reading, <br />of Ordinance No. 2000-3 establishing the City's Budget and Tax <br />Rates for Fiscal Year 2000-2001. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />Consider approval, on first reading, of Ordinance No. 2000-4 <br />amending Chapter 21--Taxation, Article VI--Tax on Prepared Food <br />and Beverages of the City Code related to the Meals Tax. <br />(See Enclosure #3) <br />COMMENTS: The 2000 General Assembly passed some legislation . <br />that requires some amendments to our Meals Tax Ordinance. The <br />City Attorney has prepared this Ordinance to amend the City Code <br />to bring us into compliance. We recommend that Council approve <br />this Ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br />VI. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> <br />A. Accept and appropriate the following in the General Fund for <br /> FY1999-2000: <br /> <br /> 1. $8,903.96 from St. Paul Insurance Company to cover light- <br /> ning damage to computers in the jail--Revenue 01100909- <br /> <br /> <br />
