Gene Teague <br /> <br />Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meeting of <br />November 23, 1999. (See Enclosure #1) <br /> <br />II. Consider recognition of various citizens and employees, as follows: <br /> <br />A. City's Champion Flag Football Team. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: The City's Flag Football Teams participate in <br />Henry County's Flag Football Program. This City team of <br />youngsters and their coaches, Vincent Dandridge and Linnell <br />Hairston, were Champions in the County's Flag Football <br />Program this year. <br /> <br />B. Martinsville-Henry County Rescue Squad Members who <br /> received their Cardiac Technician (CT) Certification. <br /> <br />COMMENTS: There are three people who have successfully <br />completed training for this Certification--Tommy Cook, John <br />Potter and Bobby Phillips. The CT level is a high level of EMS <br />training that allows a provider to perform a variety of Advanced <br />Life Support (ALS) skills including but not limited to manual <br />defibrillation which involves the ability to read heart rhythms, <br />special airway techniques, and administration of a broad range <br />of cardiac-related drugs. The CT class entails a minimum of <br />111 hours, after having already achieved the levels of Basic Life <br />Support, Emergency Medical Technician and Shock Trauma, <br />which combined requires over 250 hours. These men are to be <br />commended for their perseverance, dedication and commitment <br />to better serve their community. <br /> <br /> <br />
