Lacy, Jr. <br /> Patrick Henry Development Council, 1996-1999 <br /> <br />Presentation of Service Awards to City Employees for January-June 1999. <br /> <br />Business from the floor. <br /> <br />Consider a report on the City's Community Policing activities. <br /> <br />Consider a request by the Virginia Department of Corrections to make a presen- <br />tation to the Sheriffs Department for 100% compliance of State jail standards at <br />both the jail and annex. <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Mr. Jim Davis of the Department of Corrections will attend your <br />meeting to make this presentation. <br /> <br />Consider adoption of a Resolution supporting the bipartisan Bond Fairness and <br />Protection Act of 1999 and to oppose any federal tax on commtmity-owned <br />electric utilities. (See Enclosure #1) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Mr. Eugene Richardson, Manager of the City's Electric Depart- <br />ment, will attend to explain this request. We recommend that Council adopt this <br />Resolution as prepared. <br /> <br /> <br />
