That there be granted in the mode prescribed by law, the non- exclusive right and privilege the right to erect, construct, operate and maintain a gas plant or gas system and to use the streets. alleys and other public places of the City of Martinsville for the term and upon the conditions and subject to the restrictions embodied in the following ordinance, namely: AN ORDINANCE To grant to , its succes sors and assigns. the non-exclusive right for the term and upon the conditions herein stated to import, transport, sell and distribute natural gas, or a mixture of natural and manu- ;tured gas, within the limits of the city, and for these purposes to establish the necessary facilities and equipment and to lay and maintain gas mains, service pipes and other appurtenances necessary to the sale and distribution of gas in and along the streets of the city and to do all things which are reasonably necessary or customary in the ac- complishment of these objectives. ,- 23 ( - 1 -)
