<br />2~ <br /> <br />THURSDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 2, 1964 <br /> <br />.~~ <br /> <br />A special and duly-called meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />Virginia, with Mayor J. Frank Wilson presiding, was held Thursday, April 2, <br /> <br />1964, beginning at 12:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber, City Hall, for the <br /> <br />purpose of reviewing and taking action--if so determined--on bids received by <br /> <br />the City on March 31, 1964, for the construction of sewage collector lines <br /> <br />in areas Jesignated as Area No.5 and Area No.6. All members of Council--with <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />the exception of Councilman Thomas J. Burch--were present, viz., Mayor J. Frank <br /> <br />Wilson; Vice-Mayor Fred T. Renick, M.D.; Harry L. Boaz; and E. E. Charlie M. Finney, local builder-contractor, has <br /> <br />complaine6 to him about restrictions imposed by the City's new Zoning Code <br /> <br />(adopted March 24, 1964) which, according to Mr. Finney, will prohibit his <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />making use of certain residential lots because of certain regulatory set-back <br /> <br />lines and because of the size of lots in question. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br />
