Frank Wilson; Vice-Mayor Fred T. Reni8k, M.D.; Harry L. Boaz; <br /> <br />Thomas J. Burch; and E. E. Stone. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />After the invo~ation, Council approved as recorded (",n3 mi.'ll.1t3s of its regular meeting <br /> <br />held January 28, 196LI-' <br /> <br />Upon recommendation of City Manager Hirst, Council approved for execution by the City <br /> <br />of a contrhl.~.~ between the City and Mess.r:'s. Not"'Illan McGhee and John Lancaster, whereby <br /> <br />Mes~3rs. McGhee and Lancaster- -in accordance with Council's undEH'standing as recorded <br /> <br />in minutes of Janna:7 14, 1964--\...rill be allowed to construct a six-inch water main <br /> <br /> <br />connecting to the City's present water main terminus on Chatham Road and extending <br /> <br /> <br />along Chatham Road (outside the corporate limits) for a distance of approximately <br /> <br />900 feet, suoject to the payment of all costs by Messrs. McGhee and Lancaster and, <br /> <br />further, subject to the City's regu'::'ations g07erning utility extensions oQ-':,side the <br />corporate limits. <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />Also upon Y'ecomrnendation of City Manager Hirst, Council authorized the retaining of <br /> <br />Mr. J. Coates Carter, Arch5..t'3ct, for architectural servL:es in connection with <br /> <br /> <br />proposed municipal facilities contemplated for location on the City's property at <br />and along Church and Moss Streets. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Further, upon recommendation of City Manager Hirst, Council aut:lorized the proceeding <br /> <br />wi th Phase 1 of the seven-to-eight-year progl'am for the continued developm<:mt and <br /> <br /> <br />expansion of the City's Electric Utility System, pursuant to report subnitted by <br /> <br /> <br />the City's consulting engineers to Council on December 30, 1963.
