Frank Hilson presiding, lIaS held in the Council Chamber, <br /> <br />City Hall, Monday, February 25, 1963, beginning at 1 :00 P.N., for the purpose <br /> <br />of receiving and considering a petition from the G. C. SaL'TIons Estate requesting <br /> <br />the rezoning of a portion of the petitioner's property--ncar the City's east <br /> <br />corporate limi t--from "A-2 Rr::sidential" to "B-2 Business". All members of Council, <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />\.,rith the exception of Dr. Fred T. Renick, 'Here present, viz., Hayer J. Frank <br /> <br />Wilson; Harry L. Boaz; Thomas J. Burch; and E. E. Stone. <br /> <br />After the invocation and after the stating 02~ the purpose of this meetinG' COlL"1cil <br /> <br />received the follmring letter of petition (dated February 21, 1963) suOmi Hed by <br /> <br />IIr. George C. Samons, t~ttorney-in-"act for the G. C. Salmons Estate: <br /> <br />I, along vrith certain other heirs of the G. C. Salmons Estate, own <br />the re!'lainder of a 23 acre tract of land 1,lhich lies on the south side of <br />Route 58 east and formerl;y' fronted Same from I'There a fork of 1,:u1berry <br />Creek crosses Route 58 to the east corporate lirdts of the City. This <br />i'rontage has been subdi'rided and sold off leaving us approximately <br />16 acres.
