<br />~,'t'~< \ J <br />~,<< 1;\ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />MARCH 29. 1968 <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 5 of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />Virginia, a special and duly-called meeting of the Council of the City of <br /> <br />Martinsville, Virginia, with Mayor Fred T. Renick, M.D., presiding, was <br /> <br />held Friday, March 29, 1968, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning <br /> <br />at 5:30 P.M. for the purpose of considering and/or acting upon the salary <br /> <br />and expense requests of the several constitutional officers for the <br /> <br />fiscal year beginning July 1, 1968. All members of Council were present, <br /> <br />viz., Fred T. Renick, M.D., Mayor; E. E. Stone, Vice-Mayor; Harry L. Boaz; <br /> <br />W. Donald Hartford; and Francis T. West. <br /> <br />After considering said request, Council went on record as concurring in <br /> <br />same and recommending them to the State Compensation Board for approval. <br /> <br />Upon inquiry from City Manager Noland, in connection with the forthcoming <br /> <br />occupancy of the City's new Municipal Building, Council unanimously <br /> <br />authorized the subscribing to a full-page "advertisement" of a special <br /> <br />edition of the Martinsville Bulletin for this occasion. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br /> <br />1I~'ri:"t~~;"cl~rk of Council <br />
