<br />1 ~ ",', <br />'11 ' <br />l..... ~...., <br />.' , '.,..,~ . <br /> <br />FRIDAY <br /> <br />JULY 13, 1973 <br /> <br />A special meeting of Martinsvi1le City Council, called by order of the Council at its <br /> <br />regular meeting held July 10, 1973, was held Friday, July 13, 1973, in the Council <br /> <br />Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 1:30 P.M., for the purpose set forth in said regular <br /> <br />meeting, viz., to consider contractual aspects of request to City for sewage service in <br /> <br />the Figsboro Road area, outside the City's corporate limits, to serve property owned by <br /> <br />the estate of Mrs. J. E. Covington, represented by Mr. James E. Covington, Jr. All <br /> <br />members of Council were present, with the exception of Councilman William D. Hobson, <br /> <br />viz., Mayor Francis T. West; Harry L. Boaz, Vice Mayor; W. Donald Hartford; and <br /> <br />Morton W. Lester. <br /> <br />Following the stating of the purpose of this meeting by Mayor West, and upon motion <br /> <br />(duly seconded) unanimously carried (of members present), Council went into Executive <br /> <br />Session with Mr. James E. Covington, Jr., following which Council reconvened into <br /> <br />regular session and announced that consideration had been given and discussed with <br /> <br />regard to said sewage service request; however, no decisions had been reached and, <br /> <br />consequently, Council had no actions to take thereon. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />At the meeting hereinabove covered by these minutes, Mr. Jesse D. Clift, Clerk of <br />Martinsvi1le Corporation (Circuit) Court, appeared before Council and requested to <br />be heard at Council's next regular meeting on his petition for permission--already <br />granted by the Honorable Frank I. Richardson, Jr., Judge of said Court--to close his <br />office on Saturday mornings. <br />
