Conduct a public hearing to discuss acquisition of real property lying <br />adiacent to the south side of Wade Street, a 20-foot street space, and <br />known as the remaining portion of the east side of Lester Street, (Tax <br />Map 23 (01)00/24) adiacent to the proposed trail next to Wade Street. <br /> <br />2. Consider adoption of a resolution calling for Virginia Tourism <br />Corporation's Official Recognition of a Southern Virginia Region. <br /> <br />Work Session <br /> <br />3. Update from the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development <br />Corporation. <br /> <br />4. Discussion on the elimination of the City decal. <br /> <br />5. Status report on reversion study. <br /> <br />6. Discussion of option to purchase a track loader currently being used at <br />the City landfill and leased from Carter Machinery. <br /> <br />7. Discussion of public hearing to be held on February 28,2006 on a <br />request from the Planning Commission to rezone property at 1220 S. <br />Memorial Boulevard from C-3 Commercial to M-2 Industrial. <br /> <br />8. Discussion of public hearing to be held on February 28, 2006 to discuss <br />a request by First Baptist Church-East Martinsville, to purchase from <br />the City residual right-of-way from the former US 58 consisting of 5938 <br />square feet fronting 1043 East Church Street for a price of $1,300. <br />
