Cobbe <br /> <br />Items Requirine: Action <br /> <br />1. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meeting of December <br />13, 2005. <br /> <br />2. Consider adoption of a Joint Resolution with Henry Countv in support of <br />the proposed New College Institute. <br /> <br />3. Consider adoption of a Resolution in support of Citizens Against Family <br />Violence's application to the Commonwealth of Virginia for possible <br />fundin~ for additional shelter space. <br /> <br />4. Conduct a public hearing to solicit public input on local community <br />development and housing needs in relation to Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBGl funding for the Cherry Street proiect in the <br />communi tv. <br /> <br />5. Conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving/interviewing <br />citizens interested in appointment to an unexpired position on the City's <br />School Board. <br /> <br />Work Session <br /> <br />6. Presentation by the Martinsville Community Recreation Association <br />(MCRA). <br /> <br />7, Update from the Martinsville Uptown Revitalization Association (MURA). <br /> <br />8, Update on the issue of reversion to a town. <br /> <br />9. Discussion of an offer to gift to the City a small portion of real estate <br />adiacent to the proposed trail next to Wade Street. <br />
