Ronald Ferrill <br /> <br />Pledge to the American flag <br /> <br />1. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meeting of November <br />8, 2005. <br /> <br />2. Consider adoption, on first reading, of an Ordinance relative to legislative <br />changes in the Personal Property Tax Relief Act (PPTRA) effective January <br />1, 2006. <br /> <br />3. Consider ratifying the City Manager's signature on two Performance <br />Agreements relating to Hooker Furniture Corporation. <br /> <br />4. Consider approving a new position of Community Planner in the <br />Community Development Department and approving funding of same. <br /> <br />5. Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption, on first reading, of <br />Ordinance to rezone property located at 599 and 601 Starling Avenue <br />(known as parcel 43(08)7, 8 on the Tax Map of the City of Martinsville) <br />from R-9 Residential to P-2 Professional. <br /> <br />6. Business from the Floor <br /> <br />This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the <br />opportunity to discuss matters, which are not listed on the printed <br />agenda. In that the Council meetings are broadcast on Martinsville <br />Government Television, the City Council is responsible for the <br />content of the programming. Thus, any person wishing to bring a <br />matter to Council's attention under this Section of the agenda <br />should: (1) come to the podium and state their name and address; <br />(2) state the matter that they wish to discuss and what action they <br />would like for Council to take; (3) limit their remarks to five <br />minutes; and (4) refrain from making any personal references or <br />accusations of a factually false and/or malicious nature. <br />
