Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meeting of July 12, <br />2005. <br /> <br />2. Update from Danny Fore, President and CEO of the Martinsville-Henry <br />County Economic Development Corporation. <br /> <br />3. Consider approval of the schedule and location for FY06 City Council <br />Neighborhood Focus Meetings. <br /> <br />4. Consider approval of the FY2005-06 Performance Contract between <br />Piedmont Community Services and the Virginia Department of Mental <br />Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services. <br /> <br />5. Conduct a public hearing and consider approving a special use permit on <br />a request by the Barrows Mill Housing, Inc. for property at 1026 Barrows <br />Mill Road in the City of Martinsville <br /> <br />6. Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption of an Ordinance, on first <br />reading, on a request by the Lester Group, Inc. to abandon property <br />known on Tax Map 20 of the City of Martinsville as Allen Street. <br /> <br />7. Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption of Ordinance 2005-7, on <br />first reading, on a request by the Planning Commission to amend various <br />sections of the Zoning Ordinance and Land Subdivision Ordinance. <br /> <br />8. Business from the Floor <br /> <br />This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the <br />opportunity to discuss matters, which are not listed on the printed <br />agenda. In that the Council meetings are broadcast on Martinsville <br />Government Television, the City Council is responsible for the <br />content of the programming. Thus, any person wishing to bring a <br />matter to Council's attention under this Section of the agenda <br />should: (1) come to the podium and state their name and address; <br />(2) state the matter that they wish to discuss and what action they <br />
