AGENDA CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA Council Chambers - Municipal Building 7:30 p.m. - Tuesday, October 26, 2004 Invocation - Vice Mayor Kimble Reynolds, Jr. Pledge to the American flag I. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of September 28 and October 12, 2004. II. Consider the following items relative to residency requirements for department heads: Ao Approval, on second reading, of Ordinance No. 2004-17 amending Section 2-3 of Chapter 2 Administration of the City Code relating to residency requirements for department heads B. Adoption of a Resolution specifying those positions that would be subject to the approved ordinance III. Consider approval of City Manager's request to re-appropriate funds in the FY04 budget to the FY05 budget and approve an FY05 budget adjustment IV. Consider approval of Interim School Superintendent's request to re- appropriate funds in the FY04 budget to the FY05 budget and approve an FY05 budget adjustment V. Business from the Floor This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the opportunity to discuss matters, which are not listed on the printed agenda. In that the Council meetings are broadcast on Martinsviile Government Television, the City Council is responsible for the content of the programming. Thus, any person wishing to bring a matter to Council's attention under this Section of the agenda should: (1) come to the podium and state their name and address; (2) state the matter that they wish to discuss and what action they would like for Council to take; (3) limit their remarks to five minutes; and (4) refrain from making any personal references or accusations of a factually false and/or malicious nature.
