AGENDA <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA <br /> <br />Council Chambers - Municipal Building <br />7:30 p.m. - Tuesday, July 13, 2004 <br /> <br />Invocation - Vice Mayor Kimble Reynolds, Jr. <br /> <br />Pledge to the American flag <br /> <br />Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of May 24, <br />June 22 and July 1 and 8, 2004. (See Enclosures # l-a, # l-b, # 1-c and <br /># 1 - d) <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />Consider adoption of a Resolution recognizing the accreditation of <br />Piedmont Arts Association by the American Association of Museums. <br />(See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />III. Consider adoption of rules of parliamentary procedure. (See Enclosure <br /> #3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: At your July 8th work session, Roberts Rules of Order and <br />The Sturgis Standard Code were discussed. It is recommended that you <br />adopt Sturgis. <br /> <br />Consider adoption, on first reading, of Ordinance No. 2004-14 amending <br />Section 12-111 (b) of the City Code relating to reimbursement of <br />expenses incurred in DUI and other traffic accidents. (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />V. Consider establishing a schedule and location for FY05 City Council <br /> Neighborhood Focus Meetings. <br /> <br />COMMENTS: If Council desires to follow the same schedule as in FY04, <br />with all meetings being held in Council Chambers, the following is <br />recommended: <br /> <br /> September 28, 2004 - Southside <br />December 14, 2004 - Druid Hills/Uptown <br />March 22, 2005 - Northside/Chatham Heights <br />June 28, 2005 - Westside <br /> <br />VI. Business from the Floor <br /> <br />This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the <br />opportunity to discuss matters, which are not listed on the .printed <br />agenda. In that the Council meetings are broadcast on Martinsville <br />Government Television, the City Council is responsible for the <br /> <br /> <br />
